The Peal Conference is quickly drawing a national audience – much like the Peak Conference in Colorado. Both Peak and Peal are PTI’s (Parent, Training and information centers).
I hope you consider attending.

I am actually considering my possibilities. Airfare isn’t bad at all, are the Super8 or Comfort Inn decent and safe? Will I need to rent a car or are these hotels close by to the conference. I’m evaluating my resources and checking it out with the hubby. Ooohhh- trying not to get excited since I still have to get time off from work and all…

Also, wondering if it would be good for my daughter’s special educator/teacher, I might turn her on to it too!

I don’t know about hotels in the area but after reading your comment, I sent an email the folks at Peal. You should hear from them soon with an answer.

Both the Super8 and the Comfort Inn are on the same access road for the Sheraton, the conference hotel. We used the Comfort Inn last year as our overflow hotel. I am not familiar with the Super8 but they are both very close, walking distance. The conference hotel is 19 miles from the airport and taking a cab is pricey. About $70 each way, so renting a car to get from the airport would mostly be much cheaper. But once you get there the car wouldn’t be that necessary.
And yes, I think it would be a wonderful conference for you child’s teacher to attend. The preconference sessions are designed as indepth hands-on strategy sessions for educators and parents. Last year educators said that they wanted more indepth sessions and we are accommodating.
